Hiring Lowcountry Eats as our caterer was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. They also catered our rehearsal dinner and a family brunch the day after the wedding. Absolutely all of the food was fresh and delicious (I especially recommend the mini tomato pies and the shrimp dip, yum), and they were so professional and helpful at all of our events and with planning before the wedding. For example, they helped us decide on seating and room set up and managed our rentals, as well as bringing many of their own serving pieces, which was really nice to not have to worry about. They handled set up and clean up beautifully too and really saved us a ton of stress. They were also MUCH more reasonably priced than the other professional caterers we got a quote from. Elaine Axson and Aris Newton did a fantastic job at our Boone Hall wedding and Aquarium rehearsal. From the very first phone call when we described our "Brazilian Steak house meets Lowcountry cuisine" concept, Elaine was there taking notes and making excellent suggestions. They delivered on EVERYTHING we asked (which was a lot) and exceeded expectations by having a professional staff and flexibility to work within our time and budget constraints. Elaine and Aris went above and beyond the call of duty on our wedding day to make the Cotton Dock look beautiful, smell great and served perfectly grilled meats and seafood to our seated guests. Elaine and her team at Lowcountry Eats are so great. They were able to come up with great suggestions for drinks, menu, and coordinating decorations that were all exactly what I wanted. They really did handle everything. I put full trust in Elaine and her team to make my reception happen and they did a great job and I did not worry about a thing, she is just as particular as I am. Not to mention the food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about the menu. If you aren't sure what you want, they can make suggestions, and they have so much more to offer besides what you see on the menu. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Elaine Axson at Lowcountry Eats for my July 30th wedding (2011). I can't praise them highly enough, for their professionalism and helpfulness. I feel like my wedding could not have happened or been nearly as beautiful without their help!! Elaine worked on my interior arrangements with such care, and sent me revisions every time I tweaked something. She handled the Snyders rentals for me flawlessly, and the final day was more beautiful than I imagined thanks to her. This is only one aspect, of course; the FOOD WAS AMAZING! The chefs with LCE are unbelievable, and they fully delivered when I asked to feed my guests a real taste of the Lowcountry. Let me put ALL your fears to rest! After planning a wedding for one year (starting Oct. 2009 - October 2010), and having the venue destroyed by fire (March 2010) and started all over again in April 2010...my experience from start to finish with Lowcountry Eats has been sterling. The style and manner of the management and culinary team was beyond anything I have ever experienced....East to West coasts. The care and guidance in preparing a menu for both a Lowcountry Oyster Roast and Welcome/rehearsal dinner on Friday evening and a Sunday morning "Bon Voyage" at our home for 150 guests was simple and seamless. Lowcountry Eats LISTENS to what you want...with respect to cuisine, style, design and cost. The staff who fascilitated the (2) events were well trained and gracious. The communication is clear and timely and the finished product:   I hosted 160 for Friday dinner and 150 for Sunday brunch - and people would not stop eating and would not leave....Perhaps if you just want people to pass in and out quickly you might select someone else...But if you are intending to put forth a well planned and executed event - large or small- this is it...My 160 guests are RAVING ....they hail from NYC to SF to London...LCE is the new business on the block making a mark!
